Introducing PressPlay 2.0

I’ve just released version 2.0 of the free PressPlay theme for WordPress.  It’s a massive revamp that gives the theme an updated design, theme options, and custom page templates while staying translation-ready and cross-browser compatible.  Download it at the WordPress Free Theme Directory, or check out a demo and a complete list of features.

    Hey Michael,

Love the theme! I am having some problems with it though. For some reason, the sidebar widgets are all messed up. I tried re-installing the theme — no luck. Please help as I would really like to use this theme permanently.

    Hey Michael,

I tried posting this in your forum but I keep getting a page not found error, or at least in Firefox.

I just wanted to let you know that the theme is not showing the page menu at the top in Firefox.. it shows in Google chrome though, haven’t tried IE.

    Chris

I’ve taken the liberty to solve the top menu not appearing in FF. You just need to remove the ‘overflow:hidden;’ style for the element: ul#page-list in style.css.

Hm. Sorry I didn’t respond at first, I wasn’t seeing a problem on my computer. The overflow:hidden line was added so that the layout wouldn’t break if too many pages were added to the top menu but I’ll have to look into it and see if it’s happened to others. Thanks.

    Hey Michael,

I found another problem with you theme that I thought I might let you know about, so you can fix it for the next version.

It seems images won’t center within the post body. The reason this is, is because you have an unecessary margin (margin:0 10px 10px 10px;) in your div.post-body img class. You just need to remove that and you can center your images perfectly.

Did you have some purpose for that margin?

nice clean themethere is a problem on the front page (index.php) if there are more posts than in the settings ‘posts per page’ – which leads to no sidebar, no footer.
fix: to put the chaeck for ;wp_pagenavi’ infront of the include of the build-in pagenavi: (hope the following code survives the filtering, tried my best with ‘code’ and ‘pre’ tags – lol):

  8. Mich, thanks for your effort. My little problem is how do I add the “read more” or “click here to continue reading” to my post so that it will not display all my full post on the home page.
Is there any plugin you use or is it a code that you are using…
    i await your reply

  9. Great theme! How do you remove all reff. to comments?
