PressPlay 2.1 Released
Just released the first update for PressPlay 2.0. The major improvements of version 2.1:
- By request, I’ve added theme options that give you total control over the page and category menus in the header. Each menu can display Pages, Categories, or nothing at all.
- I’ve fixed a few bugs involving images in posts. Most notably, images should now center correctly.
- I’ve changed the way the tabbed widgets in the sidebar load in order to minimize conflicts with certain Plugins. If you had to deactivate a Plugin to get the tabbing to work correctly, give it another go.
- Finally, I moved the search function to searchform.php and tweaked the search code so that it now validates correctly.

great update! question: is there a way to easily increase the width of the content space? I have a lot of content and right now it’s not fitting into the width, so I can’t use your theme

I used to stick with this nice theme but currently trying the new released 2010 WP 3.0 Theme.It’s quite nice theme;at least a better deal then the kubrick oldies.

Yes nice theme and I would like to continue using it. However it doesn’t seem to have a happy relationship with IE (Internet Explorer).
I have loaded the Tube Press plug in that populates blog pages with video thumbs ready for selection. This plug in will only work in Firefox while “Pressplay” is the active theme. It will not populate the page when IE is used.
Tube Press performs well (with both Firefox and IE)when two other themes are activated. I have tested this condition on two computers from two independent ISPs. Same results. Could you kindly help me to solve this problem.
Here is another small glitch that occurs with plug in “WP125″ banner rotator. In IE blue borders are displayed around the banners. Again this problem does not occur with other themes.
And another abnormality only in IE (not Firefox)the search box and menu below the header both drop down to a new location under the bar where they should be located.I tested this condition on this page “http://pressplaying.com/196/pressplay-2-1-released” in IE and it performed the same way with the glitch.

Can you change your call of the_time() everywhere by date_i18n() using the date_format parameter, thus, i can avoid to change the scripts by hand and thus this will use the general settings ?

The theme is terrific. My problem is the other side of waynes’ coin, however. The template works great with IE8, but it isn’t working in Firefox 3.6.2. For example, the Page Tabs are invisible unless moused over in Firefox. They work fine in IE.

Like Alan i noticed the issue under Linux and FireFox 3.6.2 and Safari on iPodTouch but under Windows7 and Firefox 3.6.2 it’s ok

Hi! Thanks for the updated theme!! I’ve been using this theme for a little while now and really like it. I’d love to install the update, but I’m a little nervous — I did a bit of customization (just lots of little minor tweaks) to the older version and I’m wondering…if I update, will I lose all that?? (I’m guessing yes…)

Great theme – really like it. Actually I like it so mutch I don’t wanna change almost anything BUT how do I translate the default sidebar headers? It’s now in English (“Recent Activity” and “Archives”) but I need them to be in Swedish.
