Engagement Ring Portal Presented Award At Malta Meet

The winner of a performance contest held by AnEngagementRing.com to select the most popular engagement ring design was awarded a prize at a meet of industry professionals and consumers at Malta on Saturday.

The website at AnEngagementRing.com which was launched recently to address the current problem of finding which model of engagement rings was popular through a simple method – asking thousands of couples for their personal opinion about the best designed engagement ring and getting them to share their engagement ring reviews.

As proof of concept, An Engagement Ring held an online voting competition and promised that the winning entries would qualify for a lucky dip for a grand prize. Spreading virally over social media, the content appealed to a vast online community of voters who voted for their choice of wedding and engagement bands. For a brief period, traffic to the website was so heavy that the server crashed and required rebooting.

When the votes were tallied, the best design that had been reviewed was identified by the maximum number of votes gathered. A modest function held in Malta was attended by leaders of the jewelry industry as well as hand picked consumers who registered on the site’s fan page. The winner of the lucky dip was presented with the winning engagement ring design and the designer was awarded a certificate of honor.

“The idea we had was to crowdsource the choice of best engagement rings,” says Mr.Bose who co-ordinated the online promotional event. “We are able to reach thousands of consumers through the Internet and solicit their opinions about the best jewelry designs and brands, as well as other cosmetics they use every day.”

Engagement rings are an important part of a couple’s romance, and choosing a bad model can ruin a relationship. It’s no surprise that anyone who is in love has a favorite engagement ring design and is passionate about that choice. Couples spend time and money on choosing the best ring, and are serious about making the correct choice for themselves.

The entrants for the contest for best engagement ring design are featured on the website at An Engagement Ring at http://www.AnEngagementRing.com
